In 2019, the W/E commenced with an informal buffet supper by way of welcome to the entrants and their crews at RORC.
Saturday, the day of the race, the Solent was all but mirror-surfaced in the absence of wind. The start of the race was delayed in hopeful anticipation of some wind developing and under these challenging conditions, the Race Officer, was able to start a race in the early afternoon.
The Presentation Dinner was held in the Pavilion of the RYS where the Commodore presented cups and trophies to the winners and all entrants received a memento celebrating the 50th running of the Lord Mayor’s Cup.
